BNK (B. N. Kumar) is a Mumbai-based veteran journalist, author, environmentalist and communication strategist with over five decades in the media trenches. A journalist by instinct, columnist by choice and satirist by temperament, he has spent his career watching India’s politics, policies and public institutions—sometimes with a notebook, often with a raised eyebrow.

He leads the NatConnect Foundation, an environmental advocacy organisation working to protect mangroves, wetlands, urban ecosystems and coastal habitats, while pushing for sustainable and climate-resilient urban planning.
